Please be at the church at least 15 minutes before Mass on the day you are scheduled to serve. If you are not present at 10 minutes prior to the start of Mass, you will be replaced.  At 5 minutes before Mass, we will meet with Father for a prayer.

Altar Servers: After communion and Father has placed the Chalice back into the Tabernacle, you are to move to your chairs instead of continuing to kneel.

Eucharistic ministers are to process with Father.  Line up as follows: Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, and First Reader with Book of Gospels (if no Deacon is there), and Father.  After we bow, we join the congregation until it is time to serve.  We go to the bottom of the altar when Father starts the Lamb of God, and stay there until Father has consumed the blood of Christ.  Then we proceed to our places behind the Altar.  Remember, place the vessel and your purificator back on the altar after communion is completed or as soon as your vessel is empty.

Explanation of Eucharistic Duties:
Eucharistic I.  Serve Host with Priest.
Eucharistic II. Stand in second position behind Priest.
Eucharistic III-IV-V.  These ministers take the vessels to the Sacristy, cleanse and dry them.  Also, you must rinse the Purificators and place them out to dry.  Return the vessels and new Purificators to the altar for the next mass.

IF you cannot serve your scheduled time, please contact one of the other ministers on your list.  If no one on the list can be reached, then contact Jake Bennett at 361-0524.
